Care to explain a Pisces sun, Virgo moon, and Scorpio rising?
I’ve been looking everywhere. I’m rather new to astrology, and this is a combo google doesn’t seem to want to help with. So if any of you are proficient with astrology, I’d love a good explanation of this one… Thanks!

Most free online readings will only explain two things in relation to each other. You could discover Pisces Sun/Virgo Moon or Pisces Sun/Scorpio rising…but rarely are you going to ever find all three in one description. there’s too many combinations, I’d suppose.
Well, your Sun and Moon are in opposite signs. Depending on the placement, you probably have a LOT of conflict between your conscious and unconscious self. You are by nature, a very sensitive, empathetic, somewhat disorganized individual, but you may have a compulsive need to restrain that side of yourself, constantly staying in your head, picking apart every possible decision before you make any move.
With a Scorpio ascendant, you are likely to find that people either love or hate you, and many are somewhat intimidated by you. You have a strong presence.
I am NOT an expert yet, and am mostly just going by instincts and what I’ve learned over the years. Overall, though…I’d say this is a good combination. Virgo and Pisces could balance each other out, and keep you from going to too many extremes (as they are complete opposites). Both you ascendant and sun sign are in the Water element, allowing you to feel more able to express your sensitive nature.
I’d love any feedback about how I did. If I got anything right. I doubt both the accuracy of astrology, and my own abilities.

Which of these two books about birthdays looks like the better gift for a friend?
My friend is really interested in stuff like numerology, astrology, tarot readings, etc. and I figured a book on what your birthday says about you would be a cute gift for her. I’ve narrowed it down to these two – if you’ve read either of them, can you give any comments on them? Or even if not, which one looks better to you?

I think the first one, however, I dont really care for either. The focus of both is the sun sign and theres so much more to a persons “horoscope” than the sun sign.
